Do you want to see the documents the Council don't want you to see?
The following documents were only loaded onto the Council's website on 19th April 2010, 7 weeks after the initial documentation. Critical Sections were omitted from the documents available to you online and have only been included after many weeks of persistent pressure from the Greenhill Action Group.
Is this intentional or just sheer incompetence? Whose side are the Council on?
Design and Access Statement Evolution Statement Environmental Statement Chapter 12 GAG is totally opposed to any building of houses on this site and will undertake anything necessary to convince the Planning Authority that Greenhill should not be developed. To do that, we need to pay for experts - we need traffic, ecological, archaeological, drainage and other consultants, as well as a planning expert to advise us on each step of the way.
This 40 acre site could accommodate up to 800 houses, and the impact on local roads, especially Micklethwaite Lane, Sty Lane, Oakwood Drive, Falcon & Fairfax Roads and Beck Lane, and on surrounding areas e.g. Micklethwaite, East Morton, Crossflatts is massive. There will also be huge impact on services such as schools & health services, as is all too painfully obvious. The public enquiry in 2003 attracted 600 objections, the largest number for any site in the UDP, but the Council have issued a revised plan with the site still allocated to housing. GAG is non-political and is solely opposed to development on a green field site which is the only green lung for residents in the Bingley / Crossflatts area. To ‘fight the fight’ we need to raise £15,000 from everyone who wants stop the Aire Valley being turned into more of a concrete wasteland. |
