Over the past 2 years we have raised £29,500 which has paid for our highways and planning consultants (£23,000) and the balance has paid for signs, printing, room hire etc. As a result of these efforts and your support the Shipley Planning Panel REJECTED the application to build on Greenhill. Now the developers have appealed thsi decision and they have appealed the non-determination of two brdige applications. As a result Greenhill Action Group has decided to fight the appeal. To do so we believe our best chance of success is to apply for Rule 6 Statusand this has been accepted. We have appointed a Barrister, Jack Smyth of No 5 Chambers, Birmingham; an Instructing Solicitor, Peter Wilbraham, Menston. In addition we have extended the appointment of our consultants Richard Raper (Planning) and Geoff Bowman (Highways). We estimate the cost of this Appeal to be £60,000 and we are seeking donations to meet these costs.
