| We have been fundraising for just over 3 weeks and the response from the community has been superb. We now have received £32,920 in donations. Please keep sending us your donations no matter how large or small. In view of this wonderful support we believe we will reach our goal and therefore we are appointing our Barrister and Consultants. |
| The Planning Panel has been provisionally booked for 10am on Friday 23rd September at Bingley Arts Centre. The seating capacity will be limited to 150.
Please put this date in your diaries as we need as many people as possible to descend on Bingley Centre, even if not everyone can get in, to demonstrate the depth of feeling there is about this development. I understand it is during the working week and if you are able to get time off work it would be appreciated. |
As Bradford Council have not confirmed a Planning Hearing the developers have appealed the first application for 475 houses with the Planning Inspectorate thereby taking it out of the hands of Bradford Council. They will no doubt use this as a bargaining tool with the Council to force their hand in recommending the second application to a Planning Hearing. This means the first application will probably be heard by a Public Inquiry early in 2012. |
As you will now know the planning Panel Hearing has been postponed. As soon as we know the new date we will advise you. Bradford Council have sent a 6 page letter to the developer raising issues they want answered before they continue.
Meantime you can still send in objections right up to the date for the Panel. The ways in which you can do that are highlighted on our website under the FAQ page. You MUST get separate objection letters signed by each person in the household and we have prepared a ready made objection letter to help you. This can be downloaded from the DOWNLOADS section of our website. It is even better if you can write your own letter with how you believe the development will affect you and the community. Should you send an email please show your full postal address on teh email. And lastly, please ask the Planning Service to confirm receipt of your letter/email. |
